Woman with Guitar
Pablo Picasso
Lithograph
210 x 297mm
‘Femme a la guitare’ was originally created by Picasso using the lino cut technique.
Throughout his career Pablo Picasso produced many lino prints, a printmaking method whereby artists
carve into a linoleum block creating a relief image which is then inked and printed.
In 1959 he invented the one-block technique which enabled him to achieve richly textured works on paper,
such as this cubist style print of a woman playing a guitar.
